Introduction
Normandien Farms (Pty) Ltd, requires the services of a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to be based in Thornville/Newcastle

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out inspections of the workplace and take necessary action to ensure compliance.
- Provide HSE training, awareness and induction on site to staff, contractors and other relevant parties.
- Assists in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace.
- Assists in the establishment of workplace safety and health committees.
- Assists in carrying out industrial hygiene surveys.
- Assists in the preparation of various reports, documents and forms regarding safety.
- Identify hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric/Grade 12
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification (SACPCMP and or HPCSA) would be advantageous
- At least 2-3 yearsÂ’ experience in a safety role
- MS Office proficient
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read , write and communicate in English and Isizulu
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain effective work relationships.
