QA Automation Engineer – Government Job Vacancies in Cape Town

My client based in Cape Town (CBD) is currently looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the QA Team Lead, you will be working in an agile environment in the Client’s digital team, alongside a dynamic, and multi-skilled team of product, engineers, data scientists and UX
• Your role will be to work alongside of QA engineers, testers to roll out the automation strategy
• You will be required to deliver sound, technical solutions based on the needs of the business and users
• Driving quality solutions that are delivered on time, within budget and scope is key
• You will actively contribute alongside a team that is committed to building out the test and automation coverage of our systems

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum of 5-8 years QA experience of which at least 3 are in automation
• An ISTQB and relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience with large-scale website and mobile app development and testing
• Experience managing multiple work streams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and critique requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Selenium, Azure DevOps and a Cloud testing environment is essential
• Minimum of 1 year’s coding experience with C# / Java / JavaScript / Python / SQL
• Experience with software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices including

        • Automated regression testing
        • Performance testing
        • Secure by design
