Professional Engineer Pavement & Contracts (CT) – Government Job Vacancies in Cape Town

Our client, a dynamic Engineering Consulting company requires the full-time services of a Professional Engineer in Pavements and Contracts to join their team in Cape Town ASAP! This company offers exciting projects in multi-disciplinary engineering consulting services to the public and private sectors. The successful candidate must have own reliable transport with valid driver’s license and be prepared to travel to project sites. Must also be medically fit to obtain medical fitness certificate for work on construction sites.  

• Complete pavement design and design reports
• Compilation of feasibility reports, design reports and tender adjudication reports
• Compile tender documentation and specifications
• Mentor pavement design engineer
• Perform role of Contracts Engineer on SANRAL and Provincial roads projects
• Business development and tenders

• ECSA registered Pr Eng with 5-8 years+ post-graduation experience
• MSc Eng degree in Pavement Engineering will be advantageous
• Passion for pavements and materials
• Understanding of project delivery requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ contract management experience
• Residing in Cape Town or be prepared to relocate there
• Have experience with the following Computer Software Programs – Rubicon Toolbox, cncPAVE, MS Office Suite

Own reliable transport, valid driver’s license

Willing to travel to work on project sites

Medically fit to obtain medical certificate

Market related – negotiable depending qualifications and experience
