Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Process Coach – Production Stamping to join our dynamic team. 

Role Summary:

Leading Stamping Production & Process to Deliver on Objectives.

General

• Lead by example and be a role model for all Ford Values, behaviors and corporate initiatives to improve the business
• Any reasonable task that may be assigned to you

Safety

• Ensure that a safe and clean work environment is maintained (Conforming to statutory and regulatory requirements / OSH act)
• Ensure all safe working practices within assigned area and driving improvements in Safety performance
• Initiating periodic training of employees in the area allocated in the fields of work safety and emergency situations
• Training and supervising subordinate employees how to comply with instructions and operating procedures, rules for handling and storage of materials and parts, operating instructions for technological and logistics equipment

Quality

• First Time Through objective (Process performance and product conformity)
• Results of audits (Safety / Quality / Environment)
• Customer feedback (Internal / External)  QLS
• Process performance and product conformity
• Status of preventive and corrective actions—CCMD / 5D / 8D
• Product identification, preservation and inventory control
• Control of monitoring and measuring equipment

Delivery

• Ensure delivery targets as specific activities, deadlines and working procedures of assigned area (production, maintenance, logistics- as case)
• Review and control stock levels using Min/Max levels, manages the material flow, ensure delivery of parts in time, correct quantity and quality (logistics)

Cost

• Reducing damaged parts during manufacturing, logistics and maintenance operations (as case)

People

• Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments.

• Communication and Recognition

Maintenance

• Ensuring the proper working condition of serviced equipment
• Ensures the performance of basic cleaning and maintenance activities within assigned workplace
• Will perform maintenance activities depending on the operational requirements

Environment

• Has responsibility for – Controlling, managing and disposing of waste in their area in line with Company requirements

Performance Measures/ Success Criteria

• Annual process efficiency improvement objectives
• Achieving Delivery to Order requirements including Inventory control
• Achieving Overall Equipment Effectiveness objective

Qualifications and Experience

• Min. National Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• (Preferred) Qualified Fitter with Hydraulics or Pneumatics
• Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls.
• 3 Years’ experience in Automotive Skin Panel Stamping Manufacturing & Assembly
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of constraint management principles
• Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Prior experience managing a unionized work force
• 3 Years’ experience in min. 1500 ton Press line capacity
• Robotic Background or Automation Background

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Quality Management – IATF 16949 knowledge and experience
• Environmental Management – ISO 14001 knowledge and experience
• Knowledge in applicable Statutory and Regulatory requirement
