Our client based in the East Rand is seeking an experienced Regional Parts Sales Manager to lead their parts sales team in Gauteng.

Duties & Responsibilities

KPA’s will be (but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement a parts sales action plan. (To implement parts sales to dealers and network)
  • Achieve the DAF NV Parts purchase budget to achieve the Annual target purchase rebate, as per DAF NV Budget letter.
  • Assist with the PDC stock taking process.               
  • Achieve wholesale and retail Parts Sales budget targets for: Revenue and gross profit margins.
  • Coordinate activities of DAF N.V. with Part sales department. (e.g. new parts, new part developments, parts training, bulletins for implementation).                                           
  • Grow market share for Part sales.
  • Foster excellent relations with other departments (Technical, commercial and sales personnel)
  • Foster excellent relations with the dealer network:
  • Visit Dealerships to ensure the Parts Action Plan is carried out in accordance with the Parts Policy.
  • Establish relations with new customers and strengthen relationships with current key account customers.
  • Drive constant improvement to customer experience for parts sales.                              
  • Issue regular communication to stakeholders (Manco, dealers, branches).               
  • Parts sales management information reporting. Monitor, record and report customer’s purchasing trends in optimising gross profits on Parts sales.                                     
  • Monthly MANCO reporting inputs consolidated for Parts sales (i.e. PDC)and Dealerships:
    • Dealer visit feedback on sales performance and general operations,
    • Parts Marketing Strategy implementation status and progress,
    • PDC Sales staff Management status and feedback
  • Provide product and parts sales training to the Parts sales staff and PDC staff.               
  • Ensure parts sales staff and PDC staff are subject matter experts on parts products.
  • Manage E Learning to be completed by All Parts Sales Staff, as required by DAF Academy

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric / N3 / National Vocational / Technical Certificate
  • In Sales or marketing or Business Management related courses completed
  • Minimum of 10 years in the HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle ) Industry and Management experience,
  • Experience in:
    • Management Reporting,
    • Business Plan development,
    • Customer Relations building,
    • External sales and meeting revenue and budget targets,
    • Commercial vehicle or trucking industry.

Advantage to have : 

  • Bachelors Degree (3 years)
  • Diploma in Sales or Marketing or Business Management related field.
