Duties & Responsibilities

Releasing of payments in Standard Bank
Preparing VAT returns for specific entities
Prepare for year end audit for specific entities
Preparing of cash management daily bank balance sheet
Preparing of the weekly stats for Executives
Preparing Cash management interest calculation
Preparing the motor vehicle insurance renewal calculation
Review monthly accounts and investigate variances to budget
Reviewing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Review annual financial statements of specific entities
Reviewing of budgets for specific entities
Assist with preparing of group consolidated budgets
Assist with the preparing of group consolidated audit results
Assist with preparing monthly group management accounts
Compiling information of the Corporate Social Investments for BEE purposes
Assist with preparing the Dividend, Provisional and final tax returns
Assist with managing bank accounts with Standard Bank
Assist with the preparation of BEE reviews and audits
Assist with PPG insurance renewal calculations
Assist with maintaining company secretarial documents
Assist with statutory submissions e.g. CIPC returns
Maintaining effective financial controls
Contribution to the daily functioning of the finance team and its performance
Assisting the Financial Executive with ad hoc assignments

Desired Experience & Qualification

Accounting degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years’ experience, or CA(SA) qualification with limited experience
Confident and independent individual who is a fast learner
Being a team player
Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision
Able to work flexible working hours (overtime when/if needed)
Able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
A strong entrepreneurial ability
An ability to think logically
Be assertive and forthright

Be highly computer literate (Excel)
