Farm Manager – Government Job Vacancies in Port Elizabeth

Our client who specializes in the agriculture sector is seeking a farm manager within the Addo region

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Fertilizer program, application, stocks and timing
• Chemical program, application, stock and timing
• Yield estimates
• Fruit harvest. Timing, staff and equipment
• Irrigation. Moisture control, scheduling, ordering of water and maintenance of equipment.
• H&S
• Pruning plan and execution
• Budgets
• General farm operations, herbicide, bush cutting, road maintenance ex
• Head count  
• All equipment and collaboration with maintenance department

Position requirements as follows:

• Agricultural degree / diploma is highly advantageous but not a requirement.
• 5 + years’ experience in a supervisory position on farm.
• Citrus farming experience – this is non-negotiable.
• Computer literate.
• Must be willing to live in Addo
