Requirements :
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years’ cleaning experience, or a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ cleaning experience.
- Cleaning experience in a hospital /clinical environment will be an added advantage.
- Must be computer literate, have knowledge of cleaning procedures, OHS Acts, and record keeping.
- Be prepared to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and rotate to various sections.
- Ability to communicate effectively, have interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Duties :
- Supervise Cleaners.
- Daily inspection to ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
- Manage and ensure maintenance of cleaning material and equipment.
- Ensure maintenance and replacement of cleaning machines and equipment.
- Order, receive and issue cleaning material (Stock control).
- Ensure compliance with Ideal Hospital, IPC measures, and waste management procedure.
- Draw a job description and enter into a performance contract with subordinates.
- Evaluate the performance of subordinates as per PMDS guidelines.
- Effective handling of conflicts. Compile the monthly report.
- Carry any lawful instruction given by an authorized person.
