Introduction

Our Client is looking for a Quality Manager who will be in charge of developing and managing the quality of The Company at the best level of performance. The right Candidate would need to have atleast 5 to 8 years experience as a Senior Manager accountable for Quality Assurance within Foods factory environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the quality approach on the African perimeter in connection with the global strategy of the Division and the Group.
  • Define each year, the quality roadmap, the priorities for quality improvement projects
  • Lead the division’s quality system, ensure its performance at Africa’s level.
  • Lead the Quality policy and continuous improvement at the service of performance
  • Management of food safety and product quality, lead scientific and regulatory monitoring of products and packaging with the regulatory affairs department and the quality central team, monitor and anticipate emerging hazards.
  • Facilitate supplier and subcontractor quality management.
  • Animate the problem-solving issues with the site quality managers
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the action plans based on the rigorous analysis of the causes of the non-quality
  • Support the industrial quality improvement with expertise for all quality topics for Food Safety and Product Quality, propose idea and solution, work in team for the different project management.
  • Implement the Companies standards.
  • Follow the action plan related to Lactalis audits.
  • Report on quality activities on the African Regional perimeter.
  • Ensure value creation for the satisfaction of Customers and Consumers.
  • Contribute to management committees and division projects.
  • Realize internal audits , external ( suppliers, sub-contractors, logistic …)
  • Manage crisis situations within the framework of the Division crisis unit: anticipate risks, process alerts and participate in the management of health crises.
  • Participate in innovation projects, renovation, product launches, industrial change control to secure launches or changes.
  • Support customer relations on product, technical, regulatory, specifications, complaints, audits.
  • Being the privileged interlocutor of the stakeholders for the quality perimeter (including official country authorities etc …)
  • Ensure the management of the quality team (recruitment, skills development, evaluation and management review), challenge the skills of the team

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology or Chemistry
  • 5-8 years’ experience as Senior Manager accountable for Quality Assurance within a Foods factory environment.
  • Quality experience in Infant Nutritionals environment is an advantage.
